Abstract
: There is analyzed the problem of population relocation and internal migration in the Andijan oblast in the middle of 50s of XX century. The migration policy, has been carried out by the party and the Soviet authorites, was aimed the development of virgin and fallow lands in Andijon region and further development of cotton growing in the Uzbek SSR. The social structure of the resettled people of collective and state farms of the Andijan oblast was also studied.
